Family Day - Part Deux

Last week my wife and I took our daughters to the apple orchard for a famly day. The plan was to have a great day with the family, picking apples. However, the "family day" turned into a disaster. We ran into cranky old people who got mad at us for just being there, our waitress didn't listen to us, there were tons of people there, etc. Overall, it wasn't the most pleasant family day - to read more about our bad family day, see my post on October 7.

So, last week I got a call from my wife, and she says we are going to have another family day this past weekend. I thought to myself - not another family weekend. We all know how the past one turned out! However, this weekend, instead of picking apples, we were going to go to the pumpkin patch and then watch the tigers' game as a family. I thought, the tigers' game - that will be fine (by the way, none of my friends offered me tickest to the tigers' game this week), but I don't know about the pumpkin patch.

Saturday afternoon, we loaded up the van and headed to Kalamazoo. We go to Ceci's brother's house, and then went over to the pumpkin patch. Let's just say this - our experience was a lot better than last week. There wasn't a bunch of people running around looking at pumpkins, trying to find the one they wanted. Instead there were a few people there, but they were just minding their own business and looking for pumpkins. After a couple minutes we found the pumpkins we wanted, took some pictures, and then left.

Overall, it was a great family weekend. The girls got the pumpkins they wanted, and the Tigers won. Let me just say this... Way to go Tigers. Great Job. That was one of the best baseball games I have ever watched.
