American Idol...

Just finished watching American Idol and I'm a big fan of Blake Lewis. He made his own remake of a Diane Ross song, and I liked it. I liked the European flavor that he gave it. I thought he brought the song into the modern era. If I was going to call in a vote, I would vote for Blake. But too bad for Blake, I'm not going to call in and spend the money.

On a sad note, my other favorite, Chris Sligh, did not do so well. But on a positive note, I don't think he will be eliminated this week. There are too many other poor vocalists.

Which leads me to one more thing - I like the honesty of the judges. Is there something we can learn from these judges? In the church are we honest with each other? Or do we color the truth? I know that Simon should be a litle nicer, but alteast he shares the truth. If a singer is bad, then he tells them! Maybe we can learn a little bit from the judges, and be honest with one another. Just a thought.

As Jack would say; "The church can't handle the TRUTH"!
