Change can be good...
Do you ever feel like you need a change? Are you tired of doing things the same way? Does it ever feel like you keep doing the same thing over and over and over and over?
Often I feel this way. Why? Because I’m a creature of habit. I like doing things the same way. When it comes to running, I like running the same routes. When it comes to youth group gatherings, I have to admit, I can get in a rut and do things the same way. If I like a shirt and pants combo I will wear the shirt and pants in that combo only and rarely deviate from it. Weird I know, but that’s who I am, until now.
I’m looking to change things up. I’m going to find some different routes for running, so I don’t always run the same way. I’m looking to change up youth group gatherings (if you have any ideas let me know), and I’m looking to change up my outfits. Overall, I’m looking to change things up a little. No, I’m not going through a mid-life crisis. I just think life can get a little boring if you don’t change it up.
My first significant change – after 10 years of running for exercise I’m entering the world of cycling. I enjoy watching cycling on tv, now it’s time to hit the road. My bike should be finished shortly. Who knows, I might even wear spandex to ride my bike.
Well I’m off… to change something. Who knows what it will be.
