Dear Lady in the Blue Buick;
What were you trying to accomplish as you pulled up next to me, while I was riding my bike, and yelled; “Hey stupid! Get on the bike path! You stupid people always riding your bikes.” I hope you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish as you yelled “Hey Stupid” over and over and over again at me. I hope you didn’t feel bad when I didn’t even take the time to look over at you, or better yet didn’t even say a word to you.
But after our interaction, I have a few questions for you. Have you ever been hit by a car while running on the bike path? I have. Have you ever been hit by a car while running on the sidewalks of downtown Holland. I have. Until you have experienced what I have experienced on the bike paths – people not stopping or looking while they back up, thus hitting innocent pedestrians trying to exercise, you will just not understand while cyclists bike on the road.
Oh yeah, and one more thing, what were you trying to accomplish by expressing so much hate? Will hate and anger like that ever change anything? I don’t think so. Anyway, I hope you felt better after yelling at me, and anytime you want to go for a bike ride give me a call. We can ride on the road together.

That's so annoying! I guess there are incredibly angry people everywhere, even dainty little Holland. My personal 'favorite' is still the guy that drove by Chris going the other way, hung out the window to flick him off, then turned around so he was next to Chris and proceeded to throw his drink at him. Some people have some serious issues.
