Shocked...

Wednesday night, while cleaning up after our teen ministry gathering, I was watching the American Idol results show and I was shocked when I saw Melinda Doolittle get ousted. Personally, I think she has the best voice, and she should be in the finals. But, I was reading an article on Yahoo! and I guess they saw this coming. According to the article, they said;

“that Melinda Doolittle was in major trouble. Searches on the humble singer never took flight, and her amazing pipes just didn't bring in the Buzz. Over the last week, Blake Lewis pulled down five times as many searches as Doolittle. Fellow diva Jordin Sparks outranked Melinda in Buzz by a factor of four. In another important popularity indicator, Melinda only drew 20% of her searches from teens. Compare that to the 31% notched by Jordin or the amazing 55% brought in by Blake, and you'll see that Doolittle needed to do more to connect with that all-important voting bloc.”

Interesting. With that said, go Blake! You have been my man since the beginning of the show. Next week, I look forward to attending my class for the first hour, and then skipping the second half of the show to watch American Idol!
