Why do I wait so long?

I'm kinda frustrated at myself right now. It is 11:21pm and I just finished up my assignment that is due this week for my class. The reason I'm frustrated is because I started on it an hour and a half ago, and did a crappy job on it because I was rushing to get it done by midnight, when it's due.

This always happens and I'm tired of it. I want to be more on top of things, and put more time and energy into assignments like this so I can do them well and actually learn something from them instead of just rushing through them to get them done. Somehow I gotta figure out a schedule that works for me, and I need to do it quick. Why? Because I have a 10 page paper due next Saturday and I haven't started on it yet. Oops.
