Oh the joy of being an

adult!!! The joy of being an adult means you get to spend money on fun things like...

- brake pads
- water softeners

We purchased both of these things today. First of all, we needed new brakes. These have been going bad for a while on our van. Ceci and I need to stop driving like Mario Andretti I guess. Secondly, we needed a water softener in a bad way. We have a well at our house, and found out there was iron in our water. So, we had to bite the bullett and get a softener. A few weeks ago we had a guy named Jim from a company called "The Water Wizard" come out. He was a nice guy and didn't pressure us to buy anything. He gave us a good price, but we decided to get another bid. So, we checked out Home Depot. The guy that came out from Home Depot was a total tool and was $4000 more than the Water Wizard. We ditched the tool from Home Depot and decided to go with the Water Wizard.

Plus the Water Wizard has a cool slogan - "Buy a filter or be a filter." We decided to buy a filter. They also have this slogan on the side of their trucks for fun - "Everyone lives downstream from someone." Pretty creative.

So, that was my day - spending money on new brake pads and a new water softener. Money was well spent because Ceci is happy!
