The Last 10%

Working on the last 10% of my message for tomorrow. This is the most important part. Yes, I'm 90% done, but if I stop here it will be incomplete and not as effective as I might want it to be. It's pushing through the last 10% that is the most important. This is the most frustrating part of putting together a message. I can see the finish line. I'm almost done. I'm tempted to just coast the last 10%, but I need to push through and make sure the last 10% is just as good as the 90%. So, I'm off to finish the last 10% of my message.

That reminds me of how I felt watching some of the track & field events in the Olympics. I felt like so many runners were slowing down in the last few feet of the race. I just didn't understand it. Why would you slow down and not push even harder to reach that finish line? I'm not a runner so maybe there is a reason. Just seems like they are slowing down and not giving their best for the most important part.

Anyhow, good luck with your message tomorrow!
