Yesterday I went to the Apple store in Grand Rapids. I went to ask them a couple questions about my computer. Here were my questions...
- Why does my macbook pro get so hot and what can I do about it?
- Why does my battery get drained so quickly?
Those were my questions -- pretty simple. The guy behind the counter answered the first one, and then he started to look at my battery question. He did a little research on my battery and found the reason it was draining so fast. The reason -- I've used it a lot. He found that my battery had over 200 cycles on it, which is when the battery's performance begins to decrease. He asked if I have applecare on my laptop, which I do, and then explained that applecare only covers the battery for the first year. I've had my laptop for 17 months. At that time I thought I was out of luck, and needed to purchase another battery. Then -- out of the mouth of the apple guy came these words -- "Even though it's been over a year, I'll replace your battery for free." Now that's customer service, and that's why I love Apple. Thanks apple guy for the new battery.
p.s. - While at the apple store I fell in love with the iphone. I played with it for a while, and it's cool. I want one.
