Customer Service...
One thing I can't stand is bad customer service, and that is what I received from two stores today. This morning I went to pick up my phone from Sprint, but it wasn't ready. In fact, the guy that I talked with acted like I was bugging him. Sorry dude for walking into my store. So, this afternoon I went to get my phone after I called them to ask if it was ready. Yes, I had to call them. The guy on the other end said it was ready, so I went in to pick it up. They brought out my phone, no I didn't receive a new one, and they said they cleaned it a little bit and it should work fine. Also, they said they couldn't fix the speaker, but they will call me when they get a part in to fix it. Yeah right, you didn't even call me when my phone was ready. So, bottom line my phone sat there for a day and they did nothing. Good thing I pay for the insurance every month. I'm so tired of Sprint/Nextel. I can't wait to change carriers when my contract is up in May.
Well, I would love to say that was my only run in with bad customer service today, but sadly that wasn't the case. I went to Gap to see if I could get a new pair of jeans. I looked around for a while and finally I saw some that were displayed on a mannequin. I didn't know where those jeans were in the store so I asked someone to help. I thought they would love the break from folding to help me, but oh no, she acted like I disturbed her, and interrupted her from doing something meaningful - like folding clothes. Disgusted, she walked me over to wear the jeans were. However, they were the wrong ones. When I asked her to help again, she found someone else. How frustrating.
I guess good customer service is dead. I wish it weren't the case. If I started an organization my number one goal would be to make the customer happy. Why? Because people matter...
