This week...

was suppose to be relaxing. I was going to have some down time before the craziness of the new year began. I was going to take some time to read and pray about the upcoming year and some other issues that are going on in my life.

But plans changed...

On Tuesday night a man from lvc, Doug Mills, passed away. It was completely unexpected and a shock to many people. Doug was a great man, extremely kind and compassionate, and he will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. On top of it all, he loved Jesus.

So, this week instead of having a relaxing week, I have to perform a funeral, since I'm the only pastor on staff that is around this week. Funerals can sometimes be difficult, but this one has been easy to prepare for because I get the opportunity to share about a man who loved Jesus and loved other people deeply.
