Organizing my thoughts...
Recently, I purchased two
Apparently this type of journal has been around for a while – Van Gogh used one. But for years they went missing, until in 1998 a “small Milanese publishing company brought them back”, and I’m glad they did! I’m just about to fill up my first Moleskine journal, and I’ve loved using it. I’m not embarrassed to carry it around because it’s black – no flowers or bright colors.
So, with my first Moleskine journal now full, I’m off to start filling up three more journals. Why three? Well, I want to organize my thoughts better. So, I will now have three Moleskine journals going at the same time. Here is how my journals will be divided…
First Journal - Personal Thoughts and Reflections on Life
Second Journal - Youth Ministry Ideas/Sermon Ideas
Third Journal - Notes from Books I’m Reading
So, that is how I’m going to organize my thoughts. How do you organize your thoughts? Is there another way? If you have a Moleskine journal, how many do you have? And if you are a Moleskine lover, check out this great

It's so nice to come across blogs of people who really seem to do it out of a love for writing and recording their thoughts. Being a female, I am perfectly happy with the flowery, brightly colored journals. But I can definitely see your problem with them. The moleskin journals sound very posh! There's something about having a journal that I enjoy - it makes me want to write in it that much more. As for how I organize my thoughts ... I have a journal for my prayers (It helps me keep my mind on track while praying and I can go back at a later date and see where my prayers have been answered and HOW they have been answered); I have a journal for notes while reading (usually jotting down references to other books that I want to get hold of); I have a journal for diet and exercise (you know, the basic what I eat when and what activities I do); and I have my blog for random thoughts that pop up in between.
Enjoy your Memorial Weekend!
