Sunday Night Thoughts...

  • I really love daylight savings time. It's still sunny outside, and I'm looking forward to it getting warmer.
  • I really missed my hour of sleep last night. I thought I went to bed at a decent time, but with the time change I was still tired today.
  • I've learned that when I'm tired my voice goes out. I struggled with my voice today at the 2nd service. It started to go out, and frankly when it does that my mind goes and I'm not as sharp mentally.
  • I'm not preaching next week. I'm looking forward to a little break.
  • I'm stoked that I get to lead worship in a few weeks with some teenagers. It's been a while since I've lead worship, and I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe I can use Matt's new guitar.
  • I've been a workout machine lately. I've worked out 12 of the last 14 days, and I can really feel a difference.
  • I'm looking forward to hearing David Cook crank it up this week on American Idol. I bet Ceci is looking forward to hearing Jason Castro.
  • I need to figure out a slower pace. I've been going nonstop lately and that needs to stop.
  • This upcoming week is a big week. I can't go into any more details, but there will be some big conversations in the near future.
  • Over the past 4 years I've had many people say I should plant a church. Just this past week I had someone mention it again. To be honest, I read a lot of blogs, most of them written by church planters. I've never wanted to plant a church -- it's a lot of work, but I'm wondering if there is something there, especially because people keep bringing it up. Something to think about.
  • Next year at this time I might be out in California. 4 years ago I spoke at my high school for their spiritual emphasis week, and I might get the opportunity to do that nest year. I hope it happens. If it does, Ceci and I will need to make a return trip to the Dr. Phil show.
  • I miss football season.
  • I need to pray more.
  • In my business I've read less. I need to get back at it. I'm looking forward to reading this book.
  • It's still light.
  • It's going to be over 40 degrees this week, and I can't wait. I never thought I would be excited for 40 degree days but I am.
