Little things...

I take great delight in the little things, and one of those little things I love is lunch from Mr. You's. I can't wait to dive in to this wonderful dish of barbecue chicken.

And I do take a little delight in reading the USA Today too.

That looks gross dude

I know it isn't but still... before I read what it was I was like... "Nasty, what is that?"

But I am hungry now and that sounds good.

are you sure that's chicken?

Ok people, you've got this all wrong. Even though there's only two comments, I'm sensing a bit of Mr. You-bashing taking place. So sad. Don't hate on him.

Now, I'm not comparing Mr. You to a wonderful Asian culinary adventure like P.F. Chang's, but you really just can't beat the beautiful, tasty simplicity of Mr. You. Oh sure, it's probably really quite bad for your stomach, colon, and any number of other internal body parts. And yes, there are probably way better things that I could do with the $5.00 or so that it costs for a rice bowl...and NO, I didn't say anything when the gal behind the counter sneezed on all the styrofoam cups and then proceeded to dish my bowl without washing her hands that one time. But, for my money, you just can't beat a nice spicy Mongolian Beef in a white rice bowl, topped off with a fountain Coke.

I've been missing Mr. You since we've been living in Joburg. There's nothing quite like it here, that's for sure. You can bet that he'll be one of my first food stops when we're back in Holland.

(PS, and oh - if anyone has any suggestions on what to do with 800 small, white plastic bowls with clear lids, I'm open for advice)

Jason - when you get back to Holland I will treat you to a nice $5 rice bowl and Mr. You's, freshly seasoned with some snot from one of the workers sneezes.

Personally, I don't think it gets much better than Mr. You's. Even if the rice bowls were $10, which they might soon be due to the rice shortage, I would still eat there.

done deal.

FYI that the "incident" occurred at the Mr.You/16th street shell location. that stuff would NEVER happen at the old location by the southside russ'. i loved that place cause they would start preparing my order when i walked in the door. just like "cheers."

i'm also willing to help grow rice to help mr. you continue to make rice bowls available to the masses.
