- I'm learning more about leadership and what it means to be a leader every day. It's crazy. There are some issues I need to step up and take care of, and I plan on taking care of them in a big way.
- Today, we took another huge step in paying off our debt. You will have to wait until "finances friday" to find out what it is.
- I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle next Sunday - that means I get to preach next Sunday. I'm preaching on one of my favorite passages - Daniel 1. At least that is what I'm planning on for now. I'm going back and forth between Daniel 1 and Joshua 22. I think my Daniel 1 message fits better on the heals of what Ken shared today.
- We will have a new church website by September 1. We are using cloversites. They are an interesting company out of California and has worked up some cool things for churches. They make it very easy to update your website, and they have some cool looking templates. I can't wait to get our new site up and running. September 1 is the date.
- One thing -- if everybody served in only one area in the church, I can't imagine the type of church we would be. It would be awesome. That was the challenge today -- what is the one thing you need to do. To often we think we can do a bunch of different things. We run ourselves crazy trying to do a bunch of things. Simply put, it doesn't work. I would love to see people doing just one thing. Serving in one area. Only one.
- This is a life philosophy that I have too. My daughters are only allowed to do one thing at a time. So far, so good. I know this will be more difficult as they get older.
- Busy week ahead. Preaching. Planning for the fall. Taking care of issues. Busy week.

Good stuff buddy! I know what you are saying. Understanding real leadership is a learning curve I'm been experiencing these past couple years - and I'm loving it (though it hasn't always been easy). I've learned so much about leadership from Steve and the team at VP. I'm blessed.
I'm anxious to see what cloversite you guys chose!!
One serve. I like that. Instead of a mile wide and an inch deep, it's opposite. Inch wide and a mile deep.
Looking forward to connecting sometime soon.
