Real Kine Life...

The other day my friend Gary dropped off a Bible on my desk. It's called "Da Jesus Book". It's a Wycliffe Bible translation for the Hawaii Pidgin language, and I love reading it. Recently, I read John 3:16-17 and the way they wrote it got me thinking. (I didn't misspell any words. This is how it's written in their language. To read it properly, put yourself on one of the Hawaiian Islands)

"God wen get so plenny love an aloha fo da peopo inside da world, dat he wen send me, his one an ony Boy, so dat everybody dat trus me no get cut off from God, but get da real kine life dat stay to da max foeva. You know, God neva send me, his Boy, inside da world fo punish da peopo. He wen send me fo take da peopo outa da bad kine stuff de doing."

John 3:16-17 (Hawaii Pidgin Translation - an actual Wycliffe Bible Translation)
I love that phrase - real kine life. Jesus came to bring real life, not to condem or punish people. So why do Christians so often come off as condemning? Just a question I've been rattling around in my little brain.

What are we doing that is bringing life to people? Real life!

Great question...So many Christian think that other's need to be so perfect (we don't look at ourself) but when it comes to someone else we think we know it all. I don't have the answer why?? sure wish I did b/c it breaks me heart. Can't say I don't do it, but I am learning everyday how to LOVE despite anyone's faults. My questions is how can we stop condemning people? I think by realizing people are not truly who they are on the outside... there is always something deeper within the heart, Look at the heart, you won't want to punish them, just weep for them.
