Great Night...

Last night was a great night at our final "mid-week' gathering of 2007. We celebrated Christmas like crazy with some rockin' Christmas carols, ate a ton of great food, and blessed the socks off of one West Michigan family. The family the teenagers chose to bless walked away with the following ...
- a scarf and a sweater for mom.
- slippers and bath stuff for mom.
- stomp rockets for the boys. (A must for every little boy.)
- nerf basketball hoops.
- toys for their pets.
- a digital camera for mom
- a lego castle for the boys
- a basket full of cleaning supplies plus 12 girls to clean the house.
- a moving truck and 6-8 strong young boys to help the family move
- a winter's worth of fuel for their heater. A family shouldn't go without heat during a Michigan winter!
- a nigh of peace and quiet for mom and coffee and conversation with ladies her age. (This took place last night while we were partying!)

All in all the teens really stepped it up. They blew me away with their generosity and I know the family walked away really feeling blessed. In fact, the 9 year old boy didn't want to leave last night. He said, "I want to stay here forever." Looking back this past month was definitely a win-win. The family was able to really enjoy Christmas, and the teenagers felt the joy of giving and showing others the love of Jesus! Great job teens of LVC. You guys are awesome. Here are some pictures from our night last night...

Yes, we had rockin' Christmas carols. Just check out Newman's face. He was rockin'.
Nothing like a good ole egg nog chugging contest to celebrate Christmas. Nice sweater Jake.
