If I had boys...

I would be assembling bikes for Christmas. But, since I have girls, three of them, I'm busy building furniture. Last night I worked on this window seat/storage unit with my neighbor Kevin. He was really the brains of the operation. I was the brawn. The piece is made out of 1 pc. of birch plywood.

Ceci and I are giving this to the girls for Christmas. It's going to be a bench for all their art supplies and a place where they can create their wonderful masterpieces. Now, Ceci has to put her creative stamp on this piece. She is going to paint it, stain it, and put a cushion on the top. It's going to be cool when its all finished.
