Two Goals for 2008...
Looking forward to 2008, I've laid out two fitness goals. I love to exercise, but it's nice to shoot for something, which gives some meaning and purpose to my training. Here are my two goals for 2008. Participate in and finish the following races...
5/3 River Bank Run - (May 10, 2008) 15.5 mile run - I've participated in this race 5 times, and I always enjoy it. Hopefully it won't rain this year.
Lake Macatawa Triathlon - I've never done a triathlon before. I figured this one would be a good one to begin with. First of all, it's local. The bike route goes right past my house. Secondly, it doesn't look that difficult - .5 mile swim (that will be the hard part for me), 22.8 mile bike ride (I've gone that far before), 4.8 mile run (not a problem. That's a normal run for me.) The only problem I see is that I have to do all three in the same morning.
If anyone has some triathlon advice for me, I would appreciate it.
